1964 Meredes-Benz 230SL Convertible for sale in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

This fine German engineered auto runs very well with the body and underside fully intact.  This car will need some special attention to the interior, to the point that it will require - project car - considerations.  Any and all further information will be gladly supplied.  Please take a good look at this car and share your thoughts and make an offer that cant be refused.
It was originally purchased in Germany in 1964 by a US Air Force officer who was stationed there at the time.  He brought the car back to the US when he returned in the late 1960s.  The car spent most of its life in California, Nevada and Texas (dry climates) at various Air Force bases, where it was passed drown from the original owner to a couple of other officers.  One of them transferred it to DC when he was stationed there.  The current owner purchased the car from that individual.  
 
The car is a German model.  The most obvious difference is the headlights....the German version has a single headlight assembly (an oval), while the US version has a dual highlight assembly.
